Delete Your ECAPLUS Account and Personal Data
This page explains how ECAPLUS users can request deletion of their account, personal information, and eligible health-related data processed through the ECAPLUS mobile application, website, and digital services.

1. How to Request Account Deletion
Users may request permanent deletion of their ECAPLUS account at any time. Account deletion disables access to the account and begins the deletion or anonymization process for eligible personal information.
Option 1: Delete Account From the Mobile App
- Open the ECAPLUS mobile application.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Privacy.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the account deletion request.
Option 2: Request Deletion by Email
If the in-app deletion option is not available, users may send a deletion request to privacy@ecaplus.io with the subject: ACCOUNT DELETION REQUEST.
2. How to Request Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their personal data and eligible health-related data through the following channels:

Required Information
- Full name registered on the platform.
- Email address associated with the account.
- Phone number associated with the account, if applicable.
- Type of request: account deletion, full data deletion, partial deletion, or anonymization.
- Copy of a valid government-issued identification document, when required to verify identity.
3. What Data Will Be Deleted
After verification and approval, ECAPLUS will delete or anonymize eligible personal data from active systems, unless retention is required by law, healthcare obligations, security requirements, financial regulations, contractual obligations, or dispute resolution needs.
Data That May Be Deleted
- Account profile information.
- Contact information.
- Profile photo, if uploaded.
- User preferences.
- Non-essential app activity data.
- Eligible uploaded files and documents.
Deletion Actions
- Account deactivation.
- Revocation of active access tokens.
- Deletion from active databases where legally permitted.
- Removal of active sessions and cached data.
- Anonymization of records that must be retained.
- Exclusion from future backup restoration where technically feasible.
4. Data Retention After a Deletion Request
Some data may be retained after an account or data deletion request when ECAPLUS is required to keep it for legal, medical, accounting, regulatory, security, fraud prevention, contractual, or operational reasons.

| Medical records and health-related information | Retained as required by applicable healthcare laws, medical recordkeeping obligations, patient safety, or provider obligations. |
| Backup copies | Up to 90 calendar days, after which backups are overwritten or purged according to the backup retention cycle. |
| Anonymized or aggregated data | May be retained without time limit when it cannot reasonably identify the user. |
5. Deletion Processing Timelines
ECAPLUS processes account and data deletion requests according to the following estimated timelines:

6. Data That May Not Be Immediately Deleted
The following information may be retained when deletion is not legally or operationally permitted:
- Medical records required for patient safety, healthcare continuity, or legal recordkeeping.
- Prescription records required by healthcare or pharmacy regulations.
- Billing and transaction records required for tax, accounting, or financial compliance.
- Security and audit logs required for fraud prevention, system integrity, or legal investigations.
- Records related to active disputes, claims, investigations, or legal proceedings.
- Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot reasonably identify the user.
